Please be advised that we have been informed that due to essential maintenance work to allow workers to remove a redundant level crossing, the A249 Brielle Way, (the main road into Sheerness Port) is going to be closed from 20:00 hrs on Friday 11th March until 06:00 hrs on Monday 14th March. And again on Monday 14th March from 20:00 hrs until 06:00 hrs on Tuesday 15th March.

The work will be carried out under a full carriageway closure of the A249 in both directions between the B2007 at the Whiteways roundabout and the A250 Bridge Road.

During this time, the Port will remain accessible and a fully signed posted diversion route will be in place using the A250 to re-join the A249 at Queenborough for southbound traffic, and vice versa for northbound traffic.
