As you are aware, ETS UK is due to be introduced on 01 July 2026 and to help you prepare for this deadline we want to share our initial calculations.

We estimate that there will be an additional charge of £1.08 per metre, resulting in an average cost of £18.36 per driver accompanied Artic and £15.12 per unaccompanied trailer on all routes.

These calculations are based on the current price of one UKA (UK Allowance) per tonne of the chargeable emissions. Please note, as UKA is a market product the price varies daily, therefore these figures are indicative costs only. You can find the latest figures here and on our website which we update monthly.

We continue to raise our concerns with political representatives, and we have been invited to brief the Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs Committee of the Northern Ireland Assembly at its meeting on Thursday 05 March.
